Not enough rewards appeal. The Harley-Davidson Visa Credit Card, also known as the HD Card, rewards you with 3 points / $1 spent at Harley dealerships, h-d.com/store, the H-D Museum™ and at gas stations; 2 points / $1 spent at restaurants, bars and lodging merchants; and 1 point / $1 spent everywhere else. Given that 2,500 points get you a $25 Harley-Davidson gift certificate, those earning rates amount to 1% to 3% "cash" back.

Good credit or better needed for approval. This Harley-Davidson credit card requires at least good credit for approval. If you discover that you're credit isn't in good shape, you might want to consider the Harley-Davidson Secured Card With no annual fee, it's one of the best secured credit cards on the market.

Above-average APR. The Harley-Davidson Credit Card charges an above-average interest rate. Given that you need good or excellent credit for approval, that means you're likely to pay interest at an above-average rate if you carry a balance from month to month with the HD Credit Card. After all, the average credit cards for people with excellent and good credit charge 13.03% and 19.28%.

No annual fee isn't reason enough to apply. The Harley Credit Card is about $19.49 per year cheaper than the average credit card, thanks to its lack of an annual fee. But if you have good or excellent credit, you’ll be able to get approved for plenty of no annual fee credit cards with superior rewards.

Other ways to rep Harley. Getting a Harley Visa isn't the only way to express your love of motorcycles. A number of leading credit card companies let you customize your plastic with an image of your choosing. So find the card with the best terms for your spending and payment habits, and turn it into your very own Harley card (regardless of what it's actually called) with a picture of your bike.

Harley-Davidson Visa Secured Card Review

Sams Credit Card

The Sam’s Club Credit Card, issued by Synchrony Bank, is a basic store credit card for Sam’s Club members with a less-than-stellar credit profile. The Sam’s Club Credit Card can only be used at Sam’s Club and Walmart stores and doesn’t offer any rewards on purchases, so it’s mainly for borrowers who aren’t likely to qualify for a better credit card that can be used more broadly. If your credit is just fair (if you have a FICO score of 580 to 669) and you shop at Sam’s Club and Walmart frequently, this card can be a worthwhile financing tool, albeit with a steep interest rate.

Big Lots Credit Card

The Big Lots Credit Card is a good choice for frequent Big Lots shoppers who want the flexibility to pay for their purchases over time. If you can handle the deferred-interest financing deals properly, you can save a lot of money and gain the flexibility around paying your credit card bill. Most people, however, will be better off with a cash-back card that works anywhere and earns rewards of some kind. Try the CardCruncher tool to find the right card for you.
